Oatmeal Craze

Hi everyone! So many people want to know, "why oatmeal"? This post is going to talk about the benefits of eating oatmeal every morning plus some other fun facts about starting Helping Oats.

As to why I wanted to start an oatmeal food business.. that's another story. I played collegiate volleyball in Tennessee and fell in love with eating oatmeal and peanut butter together. Then I started to experiment with different toppings and ingredients to the point where my roommates called me a mad scientist. 

It wasn't long after my oatmeal craze began that the idea hit me. I then started researching if there were any oatmeal bars and how to possibly make an oatmeal bar come to life. Fun fact: I even found the google doc I made with my sister about this three years ago!! A lot has evolved since then, which is so cool to see.

Since starting three weeks ago at the Haymarket Farmer's Market, I've learned so much. The highs and lows have been way different than I expected, but each day I'm more and more excited about making Helping Oats come to life.
